ABOUT
Hi! We are Drs. Chris Sullivan and Nikki Tukdarian, owners of Perform and Recover. We are here to help you move and feel your absolute best.
At Perform and Recover, we pride ourselves on providing a personalized, one-on-one approach to your care. We specialize in athletic performance and sport injury management, but have experience caring for infants up to octogenarians throughout our careers.

Dr. Chris played Division I football at Western Kentucky University from 2002-2006 where he earned All-American honors his Senior year. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science. He then went on to play rugby at Life University in Marietta, GA where he attended Chiropractic School. He graduated with his Doctorate in 2013 and a Masters in Sports Injury Management in 2014. During his tenure at Life, he won three Division I National Championships in 2008, 2013 and 2014 as an integral part of the men’s rugby program. He was also picked up by the United States Selects in 2013 to represent the USA in the Americas Rugby Championship. Dr. Chris is also the first actively practicing chiropractor to play professional rugby in the United States. He was a member of Rugby United New York during their exhibition season in 2018 as well as their inaugural Major League Rugby season in 2019. He earned 10 caps and saw 270 minutes of pitch time. Since retiring from rugby after the 2019 season, Dr. Chris has taken up jiu jitsu and is currently a purple belt.

Dr. Nikki graduated from the University of Miami in 2009 with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology where she played midfield for the women’s club soccer team. After undergrad, she attended Life University in Marietta, GA where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Chiropractic and Summa Cum Laude with a Masters degree in Sports Injury Management in 2014. Since graduating from school, she has obtained certifications in Graston Technique M1 and M2, RockTape levels 1 & 2, Primal Movement Chains, Functional Movement Systems Level 1, Selective Functional Movement Assessment Level 1 and First Principles of Movement- Prepare. Dr Nikki currently spends her summers competing in women’s doubles, coed doubles and quads beach volleyball and winters training jiu jitsu where she is a blue belt.

Myofascial decompression is a form of therapy in which a local suction is created on the skin with 'cups' in order to increase blood flow, loosen the muscles and fascia, and stimulate healing.

Joint manipulation is a technique-based skill where trained practitioners use their hands or a device to apply a quick, controlled force to a joint to improve range of motion and function.

PowerDot® is a multi-program electric stimulation system designed to help recovery, ​​relieve muscle and joint soreness/pain, increase muscle strength and endurance, and increase blood circulation.
BODY TEMPERING
Body tempering is a form of mobilization that involves deep and heavy pressure to muscles using weighted steel cylinders that are held statically on or moved slowly along the length of a body part in order to facilitate repair of tissue, improve soft tissue extensibility, and reduce pain.
COMPRESSION BAND FLOSSING
Flossing is technique of soft tissue/ fascial mobilization that uses the science of compression and fascial shearing to help ‘unstick’ muscles and joints so they move better and with less pain.
KINESIOLOGY TAPING
Kinesiology taping is the application of a thin, stretchy, cotton-based therapeutic tape that is currently being used to change muscle tone, move lymphatic fluids, correct movement patterns, and improve posture.
CORRECTIVE EXERCISES/STRATEGIES
Corrective exercise prescription is a technique that leverages an understanding of anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics to address movement compensations and imbalances to improve the overall quality of movement during workouts and in everyday life.
